INTEGRATED CHICKEN MEAT

QUALITY POLICIES

CP accurately applies all legislative regulations in all steps of the chicken meat production. Chicken meat production is primarily regulated by agriculture ministry authorities in our country. All breeding farms and hatcheries that have health certificates are subject to audits by government authorities every 6 months. The poultry producing farms where healthy chicks are placed for growth are also subject to audits at least two times a year. Vaccination books, medication books, feed supplement books and audit books are required to be kept in each hatchery.
 

 The broiler chickens that are grown in chicken houses are to be delivered to slaughter houses along with their veterinary health reports issued by the agriculture management of the city. Vehicles that deliver the live chickens are required to be disinfected after each delivery and they are required to have a disinfection certificate.

 

Furthermore, in addition to the audits conducted by government authorities, CP’s veterinarians and agriculture engineers apply technological inspections and sanitary applications, in accordance to standards, in each production step.

 

No one should enter breeding farms or hatcheries without first taking a shower and changing outfits. To enter broiler chicken houses, individuals should wear caps and booties and pass through a disinfection pool. Regularly conducted trainings on bio-safety subjects are provided to producers. After each batch leaves the chicken house, the chicken house is disinfected and the flooring is changed.
 

Also, the slaughterhouses are thoroughly cleaned every day and are prepared for the next day’s slaughters.  

 

Vehicles transporting chicken meat are disinfected after each delivery. After being cooled to below 4 degrees following the slaughtering, every effort is made to ensure that the chickens are always protected in cold chains in each step of the delivery process, and the necessary information regarding this matter is provided to final retail points.

 

CP owns the largest private veterinary and analysis laboratory for poultry in Turkey.

 

CP laboratory holds operation permit number TAL-90 issued by the Agriculture Ministry.

 

The laboratory team of 6 people includes 3 veterinarians, one of which is a specialist, 2 technicians and 1 person in charge of the office.

 

Serologic tests, standard bacteriological tests, and PCR and Salmonella analyses are carried out in the laboratory using ELIZA equipment to conduct poultry diagnoses. 

 

The diagnostic laboratory is used to carry out health surveys of all CP live production units and to diagnose illnesses as early as possible. The diagnostic laboratory observes all illnesses that might directly or indirectly affect human health.

 

A bacteriological laboratory is also located in the diagnostic laboratory of 4 slaughterhouses to analyze food products, and these laboratories carry out their diagnostic analysis under the technical supervision of the central laboratory.

 

CP places great importance on the compatibility of the product qualities with international standards and it holds the 'BRC' and 'IFC' certificates issued by the European Retailers Union showing compliance with international standards in food safety for all of its slaughterhouses.

 

To ensure production quality in our animal feed plants, very accurate quality control laboratories and quality control systems are in use. There are a total of 6 laboratories, equipped with similar efficient and high quality equipment, in 6 feed plants.

 

There are 19 employees, one laboratory manager and one quality control manger employed at our laboratories and the same methods are used in the labs of all of our plants. Appearances, contents and nutrition values of all raw materials are analized, both physically and chemically, to ensure compatibility with standards, and the proper materials are delivered to the storage rooms. The animal feeds produced in our factories are prepared with the same accuracy that is used in the production of human food. All of our plants have the ISO 9001 quality certificate.
